Warranty & Return Policy
All EVANBattery solar batteries — lithium (LiFePO4) and lead-acid (gel, AGM) — ship with a manufacturer's warranty covering defects in materials and workmanship. Coverage begins on the date of shipment from our facility in Zhongshan City, Guangdong Province, as documented on the commercial invoice.

What's Covered
Warranty covers manufacturing defects that result in:
Premature capacity loss below 80% of rated capacity within the warranty period under normal cycling conditions
BMS protection failure
Cell swelling
Electrolyte leakage not caused by external damage
What the Warranty Does Not Cover
The following conditions fall outside warranty coverage:
Physical Damage
Damage from improper handling, transport, or installation — including punctures, crushing, and water ingress beyond the product's rated IP protection.
Out-of-Spec Operation
Capacity degradation caused by operation outside specified parameters — charging above rated voltage, discharging below cutoff, or sustained operation above the maximum temperature rating.
Incompatible Equipment
Damage from incompatible charging equipment or inverters not meeting the BMS communication protocol requirements specified in the product datasheet.
Unauthorized Modifications
Modifications to the battery pack, BMS firmware, or wiring performed by parties other than EVANBattery.
Normal Wear & Cycle Life
Normal wear and capacity fade within expected cycle life parameters. We publish cycle life curves for each model — degradation within those curves is expected behavior, not a defect.
Mismatched Application
Batteries used in applications materially different from the agreed application at time of purchase.
A Note From Experience
The most common warranty disputes we see come from mismatched charge voltage settings. If your end-users are pairing our 48V LiFePO4 packs with inverters, make sure the charge parameters match our datasheet — we include a configuration guide with every shipment for exactly this reason.
How to File a Warranty Claim
If you encounter a product issue within the warranty period, follow the steps below to initiate your claim.
Contact Our Team
Reach us at evan@evanbattery.com or WhatsApp +86 13560690838 with:
- Your order number
- Product model
- Description of the issue
Provide Documentation
Submit supporting evidence:
- Photos or video showing the defect
- Battery's serial number label
- For capacity claims: charge/discharge test data from a calibrated tester (if available)
Engineering Review
Our engineering team reviews the claim and may request additional information or ask you to perform specific diagnostic steps to isolate the root cause.
Resolution Determination
Within 7 working days of receiving complete documentation, we confirm whether the issue qualifies for:
- Warranty replacement
- Repair
- Credit
Bulk Order Claims
For bulk orders, we handle claims at the batch level. If a systematic defect is identified across multiple units from the same production batch, we address the entire affected quantity — you don't need to file individual claims per unit.
Warranty Resolution Options
When a claim is approved, resolution depends on the nature and scale of the defect.
Replacement Units
Shipped with your next order at no charge, or dispatched separately if urgent. We match the original specifications exactly.
Credit Toward Future Orders
Applied to your account for use on subsequent purchases — useful when your inventory situation doesn't require immediate physical replacement.
Repair and Return
For high-value commercial battery systems where the enclosure and wiring are intact but a cell module or BMS board needs replacement.
Cost split: We cover parts and labor; you cover return shipping to our facility.
Default Resolution for Standard Packs
We default to replacement rather than repair for standard residential-size packs — the logistics cost of shipping a 12V 100Ah unit back to China usually exceeds the unit value, and it's faster for your customer to get a fresh unit.
Return Policy for Non-Defective Products
Returns of non-defective products are handled on a case-by-case basis. Because batteries are classified as dangerous goods for transport and require specialized packaging and documentation for each shipment, returns involve meaningful logistics cost on both sides.
Conditions for Return Consideration
- Request submitted within 30 days of delivery receipt
- Products must be unused, in original packaging, with all labels and documentation intact
- Buyer covers return shipping costs and is responsible for arranging DG-compliant transport
- A restocking fee of 15% applies to cover inspection, re-testing, and repackaging costs
Returns Are Not Accepted For
- Custom OEM/ODM products manufactured to your specifications
- Products that have been installed, charged, or cycled
- Orders older than 30 days from delivery receipt
How to Initiate a Return
Contact us at evan@evanbattery.com with your order details and reason for return. We'll confirm eligibility and provide return shipping instructions if approved.
Order Discrepancies and Shipping Damage
If your shipment arrives with visible damage or does not match your order confirmation (wrong model, wrong quantity, missing items), notify us within 7 days of delivery receipt.
Shipping Damage
Document the damage with photos before unpacking further. We'll work with the freight forwarder to file a cargo claim and ship replacement units on the next available booking.
Order Discrepancies
If we shipped the wrong SKU or quantity, we correct it at our cost — replacement units ship priority, and we arrange collection of incorrect items if needed.
Important: Inspect Upon Arrival
Inspect your shipment against the packing list upon arrival. Freight claims become significantly harder to process after the 7-day window, especially for sea freight where carrier liability periods are strict.
Dispute Resolution
Request a Second Review
If you disagree with a warranty or return decision, you can request a second review by our quality management team. Provide any additional documentation or test data that supports your position.
Formal Dispute Process
For disputes that cannot be resolved through direct communication, the terms of your purchase agreement govern the resolution process.
In the absence of specific dispute resolution terms in your agreement, matters are subject to the laws of the People's Republic of China, with arbitration in Zhongshan City, Guangdong Province.
